Yakitoriya Restaurant Review:

In Japan, a yakitoriya is a place to go for grilled morsels of chicken and vegetables on wooden skewers that are cooked over charcoal. The ultimate place in L.A. to find them may be Yakitoriya. This tiny shop, with mustard-colored walls, exposed beams and a homey, smoky aroma, has refined grilling to an art. Ten skewer-course menus include breast meat, thigh meat, tsukune (chicken meatballs), quail eggs and vegetables --- and you can order chicken to your preferred level of doneness (some dishes can even be served raw). If, after that, you're not chickened out, continue with zosui (rice soup), chicken meat and diced vegetables, or soboro, a rice bowl topped with sweet ground chicken. There's also a plate of duck ravioli in a dense poultry broth and sliced mushrooms. Wash it all down with Japanese beer or saké from a well-rounded selection. Desserts include flan and homemade ice cream. Note that there’s a five-stick minimum per person.
