Miss Myra’s Pit Bar-B-Q Restaurant Review: A window display of kitschy pigs greets diners at Miss Myra’s Pit Bar-B-Q, but glance around and you may see as many patrons eating the smoky mahogany-brown-burnished chicken as the plates of pork. That’s because the chicken is an ideal vehicle for the tangy, peppery white sauce served up on the tables alongside the red. Beef brisket and ribs are offered as main plates and sandwiches or salads. Deviled eggs with the yolks turned into a pickle-flecked mousse are a must as a side dish. Also popular as side options are potato salad and green beans along with the usual baked beans and slaw. Banana pudding, chocolate chess pie or coconut pie with a towering meringue will satisfy sweet longings. But if you’d rather finish with caffeine, we suggest walking down the side of the tiny shopping center where Miss Myra’s is located to Primavera Coffee Roasters for a superior cup of joe. |
