Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro Restaurant Review: Morels---which is actually two restaurants in one---comprises a downstairs that is a fairly authentic looking French café (courtesy of corporate America), where tables spill from a classic tile floor out onto the sidewalk. It's ideal for crêpes, a reasonable facsimile of a salade Lyonnaise, escargots and moules marinières. Upstairs is a more formal dining room where good sauces---particularly béarnaise and morel mushroom---enhance dry-aged Prime beef. The handsome steakhouse boasts white linen-topped tables in a rich wood-clad environment, plus an inviting terrace. An extensive selection of shellfish from the raw bar is offered on both levels, as is an array of artisanal cheeses, both domestic and European. For dessert, there are profiteroles or chocolate soufflé, and the moderately priced wine list is very respectable, with a decent selection by the glass.
