This is one of Big Bear’s best restaurants for serious and creative dining. It showcases the culinary talents of Jon Richardson, who was chef at the well-respected Joe Greensleeves in Redlands. Richardson is game for game. You can expect to find selections such as venison, elk and wild boar, fresh seafood and fowl, as well as German selections such as sausages, wienerschnitzel and rouladen. The bistro is rustic with wood beams and antler chandeliers, pictures of Mozart on the walls and his music playing in the background---an interesting blend of mountain lodge and sophistication.
