New Zealand Natural Ice Cream Restaurant Review: After expanding to more than a dozen countries, New Zealand Natural Ice Cream has opened an outpost at L.A. Live, the mixed-use development downtown that includes the NOKIA Theatre and Staples Center. The menu is displayed on LCD screens, where patrons can pick from a selection of intriguing ice creams, such as “Spotty Dog” (chocolate chips in vanilla and chocolate) and the signature “Hokey Pokey” (crunchy butterscotch balls in creamy honeycomb-flavored ice cream). The hip creamery from the Kiwis also dispenses frozen yogurt, smoothies, shakes, and ice-blended drinks called “Chillos.” |
