Oki's Dog, Los Angeles, CA

Oki's Dog Restaurant Review

: This longstanding dog-and-burger stand is an object of obsession among LA foodies --- or an object of horror, depending on your perspective. The namesake is two hot dogs bundled into a giant tortilla together with chili, cheese, pastrami and several days' worth of cholesterol. Other highlights of the menu include the teriyaki steak burrito (shredded steak with sautéed cabbage, onion, bell pepper and tomato), pastrami burrito, chili cheeseburgers and luscious, dense fries, all served blistering hot and in embarrassing volume. Atmosphere is nonexistent (outdoor tables face a rather dilapidated section of Pico), but when the menu tops out under $10 (including fries!) we'd advise you to go with the flow and enjoy it.
