THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Osek Restaurant Review:
Occupying the Old Pasadena storefront that long housed Yujean Kang’s, this sleek Korean restaurant, splashed in bold colors, displays modern wall sculptures and is illuminated by contemporary lanterns. The menu offers variations on many Korean staples, including sharable starters like japchae (glass noodles with beef) and pajeon, a crispy onion pancake that can be topped with seafood, if desired. Familiar entrées include bibimbap, a mixed rice bowl, and bulgogi, a traditionally marinated meat dish. A very attractively priced tasting menu offers samples of most menu highlights. The wine and soju list is quite abbreviated, clearly a work in progress, and desserts consist of fresh fruit.
