| New York's iconic hot dog spot, Papaya King, has expanded to its first West Coast location. The New York chain has teamed up with Sam Nazarian’s sbe to offer its classic hot dogs and signature papaya drink to an enthusiastic Hollywood crowd. Lines can stretch out the door on Saturday nights, but service is generally speedy. For New York expats, this really is a taste of the Old Country, especially if you order the classic topped with NY onions and kraut. The addictive curly fries are a must-have. California newbies may not be as devoted to the unique taste of the famous papaya concoction, but the store also offers fresh squeezed juices and smoothies. Open every day until 3 a.m. |
