THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Pedals Cafe Restaurant Review:
THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES TO COAST. This sunny and upscale---and somewhat noisy---hotel café, opening right onto Santa Monica Beach, is a great stopping point for weekend bike-riders and inline-skaters. Be prepared to wait for the weekend brunch, when reservations are not accepted and patio seating is always at a premium. We like the herbed asparagus omelet, the lemon-ricotta pancakes and the french toast with glazed berries better than the eggs Benedict. For dinner, Pedals Café provides a casual alternative to the hotel’s more upscale dining room, One Pico. Start with a beet salad with Camellia cheese or Dungeness crab cake before moving on to the rotisserie chicken, achiote-roasted sea bass or the rigatoni arrabbiata with prawns. Celebrities and industry people love this place, so keep an eye out.
