THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Perdue's BBQ & Catering Restaurant Review:
Welcoming proprietors Fred and Mary Perdue have a long history of smoking soulful barbecue, currently from a relatively undiscovered Pasadena eatery. It’s a charming little place where craftwork and baseball memorabilia from the Kansas City Monarchs and Newark Eagles of the old Negro League compete for limited wall space. The slow-smoked baby-back ribs, which have a nice crust and separate easily from their bones, are the main attraction. The menu also offers brisket, tri-tip, chicken, hot links, and fried catfish or red snapper. For sides, all the traditional favorites are on hand (e.g. yams, macaroni and cheese, barbecued beans), while peach cobbler awaits those with a robust appetite.
