THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Pig Restaurant Review:
Genuine Memphis-style barbecue is rare in L.A., and this lip-smacking, finger-licking restaurant brings the smoke and sweetness home in every bite we’ve tried. The pork, as the name might hint, is king here, but beef ribs and chicken are also on the menu for those who prefer them. The sauces and most of the meats are also available to travel, and we think this would be a super choice for a sticky-but-fun Hollywood Bowl picnic pickup spot, too. You’re on your own when it comes to alcohol, though, since none is served here. Chef Daly Thompson III from Memphis is the proprietor. He has won a number of top national awards for sauces such as smoky mustard sauce, smoke ’n’ spicy and sweet ’n’ sassy (which has a chocolate flavor).
