| Serving up to 1,200 people for the high-energy Sunday Gospel Brunch is a serious undertaking indeed. And we have no complaints about the tasty down-home Southern specialties like pan-seared voodoo shrimp with rosemary cornbread and Dixie Beer reduction, Cajun smoked turkey and shrimp gumbo, and Tennessee baby-back ribs with Jim Beam barbecue sauce and mashed sweet potatoes. For dessert, don’t miss the traditional New Orleans bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Gospel Brunch is a unique experience, highlighted by a gut-busting Southern buffet and local gospel groups. The sound is loud and funky to the max. As for the décor, you just have to get used to the corrugated metal and trashy barn look or glance at the open city view. A simple, yet interesting, mostly American and well-priced wine list is complemented by a well-stocked bar. |
