THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Posto Restaurant Review:
This piece of the Piero Selvaggio empire has always been regarded as one of the Valley's finest restaurants. However, we regret to report that the superb quality encountered in the restaurant's early days is no longer consistently sustained, with both food and service falling short of the standards we've grown to expect from the establishment's perfectionist founder. The menu offers rather predictable dishes such as a Caprese salad (granted, with a high-quality creamy burrata cheese), spinach and ricotta gnocchi with tomato coulis and watercress, a classic rendition of osso buco with saffron risotto, and grilled rack of lamb with mint sauce. More interesting are delicate crêpes stuffed with porcini mushrooms in a truffled cheese fondue, and risotto with zucchini flowers and quail. As one would expect from any Selvaggio establishment, it's not hard to find an intriguing bottle of wine here, and the corkage fee is reasonable should you wish to bring your own.
