| What began as a food delivery service in Malibu is now a comfy and pleasant restaurant near the Third Street Promenade. The lemon-hued storefront is illuminated by vintage pendant lamps, while an upstairs loft provides a quieter spot for lingering over lunch. Though Ann Gentry’s organic cuisine is prepared with no animal or dairy products, cholesterol, eggs, fats, sugars or refined flours, it draws raves for flavor. In fact, such dishes as the black-bean tostadas, African peanut soup, lentil-walnut pâté and seitan fajitas illustrate how surprisingly good vegetarian food can be when it’s properly prepared.
