| With its concrete floors and avocado green walls and ceiling, Real Raw Live, an attractive storefront on a trendy stretch of Franklin in Hollywood, looks more like a clothing boutique than a health food spot, but they take their mission seriously here. Everything (except the frozen yogurt) is organic and raw, so nothing has been heated above 110 degrees. Take a seat on one of the clear plastic stools at the counter and order fresh juices or a smoothie, the best of which may be the Protein Power, made with almond milk, almond butter, cinnamon and, of course, protein powder. And grab a slice of "raw" pizza---the pine nut and flax seed crust is topped with basil pesto, onion and tomato---falafels or croquettes from the refrigerator case. Finish with a piece of raw cheesecake. |
