Restaurant H Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: Former stalwart of Akrame Benallal, chef Hubert Duchenne presides over his own restaurant just off the place de la Bastille. The comfortable and elegant dining room in green shades seats only 25 people in order for the chef to offer his guests the best experience possible.

Likes: The neat flavors; the great value for one’s money.
Dislikes: The impossibility to choose the dishes.

Food & Drinks: The lunch menu is “carte blanche” and at €30 offers great value for one’s money. It highlights refined dishes with notable dressings and rare ingredients, such as yellow pollock with brown butter moss and Japanese beans, duckling with sweet potatoes purée and grilled bok choy, and for dessert, a yuzu-perfumed praline. Suggested by a seasoned sommelier, organic wines match the fare, such as the 2012 Bourgueil Domaine du Bel Air Grand Mont that goes with the poultry.
