Rincon Chileno Restaurant Review: After emigrating from Santiago, Chile, Ricardo Flores opened Rincon Chileno in 1973, cooking --- alongside his mother --- the rarely seen cuisine of their homeland. The restaurant quickly became a gathering place for homesick Chileans and soon gained popularity with Angelenos due to the hearty food and inviting environment. The restaurant specializes in well-balanced seafood, steak dishes, empanadas, and Pastel de Choclo, a savory corn pie filled with chicken, ground beef and green olives. Rincon Chileno also has a deli that sells Chilean baked goods, empanadas and imported groceries.
