THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rose & Vine Restaurant Review:

Tucked away in a little nook of a strip mall, Rose & Vine is a small, quaint spot that draws nearby office and studio workers during the day and a local crowd at night. The space has a mid-century modern vibe with sputnik chandeliers and sleek wood stools at the bar in the back. (The restaurant is BYOB until the wine/beer license is straightened out.) One of the walls is dominated by a chalkboard featuring ever-changing murals by local artists. Chef Michael Martinez, who has worked with Jonathan Waxman and Marcus Samuelsson, consulted on the menu of American fare. Overall, the portions are large and the prices are reasonable. You can easily make a meal out of the Asian pear salad by adding the grilled skirt steak as suggested. Fill up your belly and benefit the community at the same time by ordering the gnocchi with crispy chicken oysters, beet greens, beet chips, Parmesan, chicken jus and charred Meyer lemon. Proceeds from this dish are donated to The Edible Schoolyard Project at Larchmont Charter School, which supplies lemons from its garden. Other popular options include the short rib and hamburger topped with house thousand island, bacon, aji amarillo barbecue sauce, crispy leeks and burrata. Satisfy your sweet tooth with the panna cotta or butter cake.
