RPM Italian Restaurant Review

: Let’s get one thing out of the way: this place is a mob scene. That’s in no small part due to its high-profile ownership: Bill and Giuliana Rancic of the eponymous reality show; executive chef Doug Psaltis; and RJ, Jerrod and Molly Melman. The menu leans Italian, with plenty of shareable options. Nothing’s too out-there. Unfortunately, much of what you try may also leave you lukewarm. For example, prime meatballs arrive swimming in tomato sauce; while fine, they lack oomph. More successful is the Brussels sprouts salad, swathed in unlikely avocado dressing. The towering Caesar, too, is a sight to behold. Simple and satisfying, the most memorable dishes may be the pastas, such as spaghetti carbonara. Not to be overlooked are the Italian-inspired cocktails and large wine list. For dessert, the comforting rice pudding gelato is a fitting end.
