| This Glendale edition of a reliable small chain---additional locations are in Westwood and Northridge---serves excellent Persian and other Middle Eastern specialties in a pleasant environment tucked into a mini-mall. The skylit room is filled with greenery, Persian tapestries and candle-topped tables. The chicken barg, saffron-tinted slabs of ultra-tender chicken accompanied by a mountain of basmati rice, is a standout here, as is the koobideh (mixture of ground beef, veal and lamb) and other meat and fish kebabs. Adas polo features baked chicken with wonderful rice studded with raisins and dates. Portions are generous and prices quite reasonable. |
