THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Slater's 50/50 Restaurant Review:

Slater’s, primarily an Orange County phenomenon, is well known for being the home of the “50/50 patty,” a burger made up of equal parts ground beef and ground bacon. However, this attention-getting patty merely scratches the surface of the near-hedonistic dishes that are offered. For starters, the selection of 50-plus beers is dominated by an eclectic band of craft brews ranging from IPAs to stouts. Appetizers include the garlic, cheese and artichoke “vampire dip” and sweet potato fries served with a rich pumpkin sauce. An array of hot dog preparations competes with the burgers for guests’ attention. Although you can construct a burger from several different patties and various toppings, the menu’s predetermined options are worth considering. Most notable among them is the oddly appealing peanut butter and jelly burger with thick-cut bacon. And as one may suspect, bacon even makes its way onto the dessert menu in the form of the chocolate bacon brownie à la mode. The Old Pasadena location doubles as a lively sports bar, with dozens of flat screens on which to catch a game. Children are also welcome here, and a kids’ meal menu features picky-eater pleasers like 50/50 sliders and bacon mac ‘n’ cheese.
