The particular take at Solar Harvest is healthy California cuisine, but there's a bit of harder-line vegetarian fare like seaweed salad and a macrobiotic plate. There are also omelets for breakfast and straightforward choices at lunch and dinner like macaroni and cheese and a plain grilled-chicken salad. The menu is color-coded, supposedly for easy interpretation of any diet or eating plan from vegan to low-carb to protein-rich; but we find the multitude of dots more confusing than helpful. In fact, we'd prefer if the cuisine simply spoke for itself, simple and delicious with the flavors of quality ingredients. The restaurant also has an ambitious wine program, along with a wide selection of organic beers.
