 This location of Sushi Roku has become a local favorite for its lively scene and nouveau sushi. The Gen-X, movie-industry set crowds the sleekly modern surroundings nightly. They share such delicate and exotic appetizers as tuna tataki salad, monkfish pâté, and rock shrimp popcorn tempura, followed by a wide variety of sushi including a roll filled with shrimp and deep-fried jalapeño peppers and sea bass with shredded deep-fried yams. There will always be a creative offering from the daily specials. Wash it all down with saké or such potent specialty drinks as the Tokyo Rose, a blend of saké, plum wine, Triple Sec and a splash of cranberry juice.
