THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Thé Cool at Berri's Café Restaurant Review:

AS THIS WAS A POP-UP, IT IS NOW CLOSED. If Berri's Café on 3rd Street is famous for its late dining (it’s open until 4 a.m.), it's also home of French restaurateur Michèle La Porta's pop-up Thé Cool. Opened in the sixteenth arrondissement of Paris in 1985, and still in operation, Thé Cool is your healthy destination for lunch. Everything on the menu is organic, low-fat and -sugar, and locally farmed which ensures freshness. Vegetarians will be very happy with the salads. We particularly like the revisited Caesar where the cheese has become grilled tofu and kale is mixed with the romaine. They will also enjoy the "Gâteau aux 5 Légumes," five-vegetable gratin served in basil tomato sauce. There are two sandwich options: a huge chicken club into which we recommend inserting the slices of cucumber that come on the wood board, and a delicious smoked salmon served on a whole-grain baguette, sparked with green apple, fennel and grapefruit seasoned with sweet mustard, dill and pink peppercorn. Those familiar with La Porta’s Parisian restaurant (and there are many) will be thrilled to know that her celebrated Starlette Cake is, bien-sûr, part of the desserts, along with a delicious French lemon meringue pie. Let us not forget the organic juice bar, where you can create your own drink with three or five ingredients of your choosing, or indulge in creations such as “Basil Instinct” (green apple, strawberry, kale, spinach and basil) or “California Dream” (apple, pear, grapefruit, coconut water and fresh turmeric). Imported from Paris are the special green tea blends, perfect to end the meal or for an afternoon stop. The breakfast menu includes non-dairy gluten-free pancakes and Nutella waffles.
