Time Café started out with organic aspirations, and though organic is no longer the focus and the food quality has gone down a tad (we give it a solid B), it remains popular thanks in large part to its location and high people-watching quotient. When ordering, keep it simple---salads, potatoes, chicken, pizza, burgers; the kitchen seems unable to handle anything complicated. And don’t bother with the wines by the glass---your best bet is to stick with the beer or the martinis. Also located at 2330 Broadway, 212-579-5100.
