THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Transylvania Restaurant Review:

In East Hollywood, Hungary-native Zoltan Imre has created a veritable shrine to Bela Lugosi, decorating the ochre-toned walls of his pretty glass-windowed storefront with film stills, vintage posters and other Eastern European art and memorabilia. So what would Dracula eat for dinner? He’d probably go for some meaty Hungarian barbecue, like thin sliced, marinated beef and lamb grilled out back over a wood fire. He might also be tempted by the breaded chicken cutlet, savory Hungarian sausage, chicken paprikash, stuffed cabbage, beets in horseradish sauce, and a delicate homemade soup with tiny meatballs, called ciorba, Imre’s specialty. The restaurant started out as a bakery, and dessert is a must---don’t miss the light as a cloud napoleon or the classic Hungarian favorite seven-layer chocolate Dobosh torte.
