THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ubon Restaurant Review:

Perfect handmade noodles---pale and plump wheat-flour udon or sleek and earthy buckwheat-flour soba---can be ordered in a bowl of hot soup or cold on a plate, with plain or fancy toppings, all of which are organic and fresh. Nothing less, though, would be expected from Nobu Matsuhisa, who owns the famous Nobu and Matsuhisa fine-dining spots (see Los Angeles/Restaurants). Ubon, of course, is Nobu spelled backwards, but there is nothing backwards about this place. In such a casual environment, Matsuhisa's signature dishes such as squid pasta in garlic sauce, oyster in phyllo and Peruvian beef and chicken are as unexpected, and welcome, as the eclectic dessert list. Matsuhisa might actually give fast food a good name.
