Business is brisk at this wine bar with a dinner menu, and a loyal crowd drops in for tapas that include both simple traditional items and eclectic selections like lobster raviolis and grilled hanger steak served in a martini glass. Chef David Martin formerly cooked at Spago, and his flair for presentation shows on every plate. Starters are generally more interesting than the main courses, though the steak dish dubbed It's All About The Sauce is both exceptional and popular. The huge and reasonably priced wine list is the major attraction; owners Ron Miranda and Charlie Bean also operate the nearby Bacchus wine shop, and they have been known to circulate among the guests at XO giving away samples of new wines and asking for opinions.
