THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Zip Fusion Restaurant Review

: Zip is the Korean word for home, and unless you are an expert sushi chef, the chef here prepares food that you are definitely not doing in your own kitchen. The kitchen has successfully composed a fusion menu where rolls are kings and queens. There are so many of them, with inspiring names such as Las Vegas, Catterfiller, Alba-Cado---every time a different taste, an original presentation, a different sauce, a different pleasure to your palate. We suggest you accompany them with, at least, one tofu seaweed salad for the table. You can also choose between the wide selection of tempuras and other salads, dumplings, sashimi, fried tofu and sautéed short ribs. Be aware that portions are rather large. The tempura fried ice cream is a fun way to end your meal. We wish the service would be a tad more smiley to enhance the good food experience. Reasonable $12 corkage fee. Also at 744 E. First St., Los Angeles, 213-680-1569.
