Best Poke Bowls
One of the unique dishes served in Hawaii is poke (poh-kay), cubes of raw fish tossed with salt, seaweed, onion, soy sauce and sesame oil. There are numerous variations on the basic recipe, but the most important thing is that you enjoy fresh Hawaii fish, raw. In Hawaiian, poke means “cut piece” or small piece, which is why the fish is cubed into bite-sized pieces.
