Crave Fishbar Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: Crave Fishbar takes full advantage of its proximity to some of the best fishing areas in the country by offering a continually changing, sustainable menu of whatever is freshest from the sea. Outdoor tables in warmer weather, a friendly bar and bi-level seating keep the restaurant packed, with reservations often as difficult to secure as an oyster in a non-“r” month. Décor is nautical, and the room is noisy.

Food & Drinks: Come for Monday mussels night or before dinner any day of the week for the ever-popular $1 #oystergram happy hour and keep your table to secure a chance to enjoy the creative seafood. Unusual dishes (local porgy poke with enoki mushrooms, spicy sauce and toasted macadamias) appeal along with the familiar (seared tuna), enticing diners to try fish or mollusks that tend towards the more inventive. Sauces like guajillo salsa move away from traditional New England preparations and add spark. Nightly specials show what the fishermen have brought in that morning. Cocktails, artisanal beers on draft and many wines complement the fare.
