Taco Taco Restaurant Review:

This casual and comfortable Upper East Side taco joint offers authentic Mexican food in a storefront setting; the tables are draped with serapes and Latin music plays in the background. The waiters are helpful and friendly. The soft tacos include a marinated pork version, just spicy enough. Good starters range from grilled fresh corn with anejo cheese, chile powder and lime to sopes---corn cakes with tomatillo salsa, fresh cheese and chicken, steak or pork. The bean and rice packed burritos come with your choice of several fillings; we are partial to the spinach and chicken rendition. Quesadillas are a revelation to those accustomed to the tired versions available elsewhere. And if you have room for dessert, try the flan or the pastel tres leches (three milk cake).
