At Le Bernardin, chef Éric Ripert works his Neptune-like charms with seafood in thoughtful preparations that fall under the headings of “almost raw” and “barely touched.” The restaurant has been a highlight of the New York dining scene since Maguy Le Coze and her late brother, Gilbert, brought the concept to the Big Apple in 1986.

Chef Barbara Lynch hails from Boston, that is why she is so familiar with the city and has quite a few restaurants and bars there (seven different concepts, to be exact). Menton is where fine dining takes a modern twist. Each dish is composed of only a few ingredients (top quality, of course), so all of them can shine. The wine program, under the direction of Cat Silirie, plays an important part of the evening.

There are many reasons to push open the doors of one of the most beautiful restaurants in the world. You can admire the décor, the original Picasso paintings and the terrace overlooking the Bellagio lake and its dancing musical fountains — or perhaps you want to dine at table 44 where George Clooney and Julia Roberts sat for a scene in “Ocean’s Eleven.” However, your foremost purpose should be to enjoy the cuisine of Spanish (of course) chef Julian Serrano. Precise and elegant, Serrano’s art has been consistent, making an evening at Picasso restaurant one to remember.
