In 2000, winemaker Lionel Raymond introduced organic farming on the family-owned vineyards of Château de Lagarde, which have been certified by Qualité France. His 2009 Bordeaux Blanc is composed of 60 per cent Sauvignon Blanc and 40 per cent Semillon. A dry, white wine offering tangy lemon and fragrant peach on the nose, it reveals tart lime and soft mineral notes in the mouth.
