THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ada Restaurant Review:
Authentic Indian dishes are presented with contemporary Continental flair at this chic restaurant. Even the simplest dishes get a New Millennium makeover---witness the tandoori chicken, made with free-range fowl and saffron and set on a bed of organic mesclun greens. Dishes such as Kashmir cauliflower and roasted eggplant gratinée offer vegetarians something to wrap their taste buds around. The fixed-price dinner menu can be a little overwhelming in terms of quantity and price (upwards of $60 per person for several courses), but the à la carte menu is reasonably priced, and the fixed-price lunch menus offer good value. If you appreciate a creative cocktail, try the tamarind margarita or citrus-splashed Indian Sunrise. Note: If you’re driving, park in the lot at 301 East 57th Street and get your parking ticket validated for a discount.
