Eclectic world cuisine with a strong Southern accent, served in an upscale and sometimes rowdy Theater District joint, makes this a unique experience. Proprietor and TV personality Barbara Smith runs the place. Start off with fried green tomatoes with candied pecans and black-eyed pea chowder, then move along to the blackened catfish sandwich and bayou jambalaya with ham, chicken and jumbo shrimp. The somewhat limited wine list includes some interesting bottles from Australia and South Africa and you can add a flight of wine to your meal for a reasonable $15.
