Beautique Restaurant Review:

Sometimes a name says it all, as is the case with 125-seat Beautique. This Midtown West spot near Central Park lures the moneyed set and reality TV stars (and the people who love them) for elevated takes on seasonal dishes. Lounge in the dining rooms, bedecked in gold and brown and highlighted by a chandelier as big as a VW Bug, and eat overpriced but good rack of lamb and duck breast. Leggy models may want to stick to grazing on the lemony beet salad or the refreshing watermelon, tomato and avocado salad. Cocktails and wine, as one would expect, are pricey. Desserts are highlights, particularly the caramel chocolate tart with popcorn ice cream. Make sure you dress to impress; if not, the guy on the other side of the velvet rope outside may not let you in.
