THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Beekman Kitchen Restaurant Review:

Boasting a sprightly Larry Bogdanow design, this reasonably priced eatery has attracted the notice of Upper East Siders, who fill the tightly spaced tables nightly. The menu spans many time zones to include St. Louis ribs, paella, and edamame, but classic entrées from the wood oven and the grill predominate. These include double-cut pork chop roasted with lemon, thyme, sage and rosemary; and herb-roasted, free-range chicken with Zuni bread salad, pine nuts and currants. Many of the usual suspects are to be found among the small selection of wines. Some, like a French Bordeaux, are a real bargain. This short and well-chosen list should---and probably will when things settle down----specify vintages and origin information beyond the country (or state) name.
