Bobwhite Lunch & Supper Counter Restaurant Review: A sleek, diminutive comfort food spot deep in the East Village, this counter (with a smattering of high tables) will satisfy a number of cravings. New initiates should be obligated to try the crunchy fried free-range chicken, followed by the pork chop sandwich, its meat sourced from the owner’s brother’s farm, topped with chow chow (a mustard-laden relish). Other tummy-warming items include mac ‘n’ cheese and a fried chicken sandwich. For the health conscious, there is usually a smattering of seasonal salads on the menu, too.
