 Think of a sandwich shop. Now picture smartly dressed waiters serving sandwiches crafted with top-quality ingredients (roast beef served with caramelized onions and garlic aïoli on palladin bread; a CB&J that consists of cashew butter and homemade apricot jam; a tartine of tuna niçoise). Now picture that sandwich shop on the third floor of the Time Warner Center, situated between the famous “food court” and the shopping mall with a view of Columbus Circle and Central Park South that might be as dazzling on the eyes as the salads and sandwiches are on the taste buds. Welcome to Thomas Keller’s New York outpost of Bouchon Bakery. If you can look past the massive Samsung sign hanging from the ceiling, you may even forget you’re in a shopping mall.
