Set on the quaint (and unlikely) corner of West 4th and West 12th Streets, this smart-looking neighborhood bistro is brought to you by the team behind the famed Odeon. The Franco-American offerings won’t surprise Odeon regulars, but for the initiated, Cluny is a charmer. Long Island duck breast is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The ricotta ravioli, accompanied by baby tomatoes, garlic, basil and Parmesan, achieves a nice balance of flavors. Even the simple hamburger, topped with a slice of Gruyère, is almost as good as the one offered at that hamburger institution a block away (the Corner Bistro), but for about three times the price.
