Delectable little French kitchen in Astoria.
Cafe Triskell Restaurant Review:
If you're not paying attention you might well walk past this little French café, situated in the middle of a busy neighborhood street lined with large Greek and other Mediterranean restaurants. Proprietor Philippe Fallait’s Café Triskell has limited seating and an unadorned storefront, and its quaint interior alludes to a provincial French kitchen with its yellow and dark red walls. The restaurant is packed in the afternoon and evenings with locals and regulars alike. What draws the crowd? Authentically prepared French cuisine with a creative homemade touch. Mainstays like the sautéed scallops, Gruyère quiche, and Breton-style crêpes are reliable classics consistently executed. The ambience, atmosphere and décor here complement the dining experience, but in the end Café Triskell shows us that it's all about the food.
