Chamarre Montmartre Restaurant Review

: Erstwhile in the 7th arrondissement, the Chamarré moved to Montmartre along with its chef Antoine Heerah, who hails from Mauritius and showcases spices in his fusion dishes. Guests can opt to eat in a cozy place in the dining room or outside in the tiny courtyard. For starters, Heerah prepares Breton Tsarskaya oysters in three ways---as tempura with pickled shallots, as sherbet with Xeres vinegar, and with chaud-froid bitter melon and mandarin oil. A main course of rib steak in Maltese sauce is served with Jerusalem artichoke chips and french fries. As a final note, there are roasted peaches soaked in cane syrup with yogurt sherbet and crystallized verbena leaves. To match the food, the wine cellar features a large collection of vintages.
