Chez Julien Restaurant Review:
Dating back to the eighteenth century, this brasserie in front of the Seine is decked out with old mirrors, plush banquettes and mural paintings. Tourists and regular customers make themselves at home in this convivial setting and enjoy traditional cooking with impeccable ingredients. Having succeeded the Costes brothers at the helm of this establishment, Jean-Philippe Leboeuf is assisted at the stoves by Hideo Uemura, a Japanese chef who did a stint at Stella Maris. Crab salad with Roquefort cheese and avocado moss, the hearty Châteaubriand with pepper sauce and thin and crusty french fries, and the chocolate moelleux with hazelnut praline and vanilla ice cream make for an enjoyable meal. The wine list features famous vintages and several items by the glass.
