| An outpost of the longstanding West Village eatery, Cowgirl Hall of Fame, this downtown spot trades in its white trash theme for a nautical one and a menu that, not surprisingly, focuses more on the fruits of the sea than the fruits of the trailer park. Bold-flavored (if a little greasy) coconut shrimp make for a good starter. The seafood gumbo---served in either a cup or a bowl---might be an even better option as it’s filled with a complex array of sea nibbles bobbing in a thick broth. Shrimp tacos are decent and the crab cake po’ boy is highlighted by a snappy jalapeño tartar sauce. |
