| Two brothers who chopped fish at sushi superstar BondSt. opened up this diminutive Lower East Side Japanese joint. The menu doesn’t stray far from the sushi canon and the pieces are smaller than what one might find at other sushi restaurants, but the quality is high, which, along with the BYOB policy, helps make this 12-seat eatery a very popular place. It’s hard to go wrong with the house signature 63 Roll, which is crammed with spicy tuna and avocado, and topped with creamy lobster salad. Service is quick and to the point and, thanks to the restaurant’s small size, diners are often gently nudged out the door after all the plates have been cleared. |
