THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Duo Restaurant & Lounge Restaurant Review

: Opened during the great recession, there’s nothing that screams “austerity” at this restaurant, located just north of Madison Square Park. Crystal chandeliers hang from the high ceilings and illuminated menus guide diners through a feast. Truffles are everywhere at Duo, from the truffle martini (complete with a truffle-stuffed olive) to truffle mashed potatoes to truffle matchstick fries. The grilled shrimp and watermelon salad is a refreshing way to start off the meal. More hearty fare, including the generously portioned duck under a pile of carrots, peaches and lentils, is well-executed. The wine list spins the globe with some great selections by the bottle; creative signature cocktails are also available.

Great NYC Restaurant!
by Ellen421 on Mon Sep 24, 2012 10:38 am
From the food to the drinks to the atmosphere, this place epitomizes what is great about NYC. The menu has incredible variety, drawing from all the great regions in the world, and the drinks are works of art - the peach passion is a refreshing retreat after a long day at work. Whatever your palate, you are bound to find something that you will enjoy at Duo.

The restaurant and bar are gorgeous, service is phenomenal and the food is amazing! Since eating there I wake up in the middle of the night craving their truffle fries and their Duo cheesecake dessert
Hip Place And Excellent Food

Great, hip place with excellent food. You can't go wrong with getting the organic chicken.. it's excellent. I always get the chicken whether it's for dinner or the chicken sandwich for lunch... So tasty. For brunch I always get one of the three French toast dishes!
