THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Edgar's Cafe Restaurant Review:

Edgar Allan Poe, who once lived on the block, would hardly recognize his Upper West Side namesake, with its modern design and yuppie clientele. The soups, sandwiches and pizzas are good, but you probably won't miss the dessert case, where more than 60 pies and cakes (each of which looks more delicious than the next) are on mouthwatering display. The fresh three-berry and apple-crumb pies are among those that are perfect matches for the excellent coffee. The cakes range from Southern pecan and chocolate-cookie cheesecake to European classics.
