| We’ve all had to endure the mediocre fare of a local food court when taking a break from shopping at the mall. But FoodParc is a food court of a different variety. Trust us. Like the impressive food courts in Japan and other parts of Asia, this Jeffrey Chodorow vehicle teams up Chinese with burgers, and Italian with cocktails. Order from a computer screen, swipe your credit card and wait for your number to be called (or get it texted to your phone). There’s something here for almost everyone: inventive bacon and shrimp dumplings or a soft bun filled with tender duck meat at RedFarm Stand; big burgers (with meat from Pat LaFrieda) as well as something called “bacon snack” (think bacon doused with sugar and spices) from 3Bs (which stands for beer, burgers, and bacon); or various pasta dishes and Italian-inflected sandwiches at Fornetti. And you can wash it all down with a glass of wine or a cosmo. It won’t make the indecisive any more decisive, but if you’re not sure what you want, this is the place. |
