THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Goodies Restaurant Review:

Some people really do come to this Chinatown eatery for standards like General Tso’s chicken, Peking-style pork chop, and the mysterious-sounding “spicy eight treasure delight,” but we’ve never seen it. It’s all about the Shanghai soup dumplings. In fact, when patrons walk in, the waitress doesn’t ask how many are in the party; she asks how many orders of soup dumplings they want. Arriving in portions of eight, the dumplings are filled with crab, scallops, pork, veggies and---perhaps by an act of god---rich soup. Eat it with a Chinese soup spoon, nibbling at the outer surface. It’s just about as good as it gets.
